Bernie 2020: Maybe?Maybe Not

Not too long ago I was watching the news. It was said that possible democratic candidates were in key states around the country on campaign duties. One of the candidates on duty was no other than the senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders. Hearing that Sanders was helping the democrats campaign for key states didn't impress me a bit.

By stating the statement above I don't mean to disrespect Senator. Sanders, but just trying to tell an underling fact. This underling fact is that the same party that Sanders is helping in the key states has giving him the back door. Most importantly one must ask is will a back door be slammed in his face again? Time shall only tell.

Let us go back to the campaign season of 2016. By the early spring of this year Sanders and Hillary were the only two candidates running for the nomination for the DNC (Democratic National Convention). The crowds that Sanders drew either matched Hillary's or surpass her's. Suspiciously, Sanders was still loosing important key states. Every move Sanders made during his campaign Hillary would follow. If Sanders went to the Bronx than Hillary would follow. Seeing this from a non-partisan angel this got on my last nerve.

From the deepest pit of my heart, and the lowest port of my ideologies, we will never see or have another candidate like Senator. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). This man was for the people. When BLM (BlackLivesMatter) activists came to him for  bringing 'important" issues to the forefront. How did Sanders respond? He simply just let the two young ladies take the mic.

Senator. Hillary Clinton, being the establishment politician she is response was a lot different from her opponent Sanders. At a private fundraiser BLM activists confronted Clinton on bringing "important" issues to the forefront (once again). One of the activists asked her a question regarding prison reform and if she became president would she repeal the 1994 crime bill? Clinton, without answering the question she gave a rude response, which would make the activist cry.

Now that I'm finished showing you the differences between the two individuals, it's time to fast forward to discuss current circumstances.

Once Hillary won the nomination at the DNC (Democratic National Convention) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania some of the American public knew something was fishy. Indeed something was. Emails from April to July of 2016 were leaked from the DNC (Democratic National Committee). These emails signaled the real reason as to why Senator. Sanders lost the nomination to Clinton. These email exchanges were of no other than former Chairwoman of the DNC Deborah Wasserman Schultz engaging a conversation with a fellow employee sabotaging the Sanders campaign. The New York Daily News in the summer of 2017 published an article that admitted that Clinton bought and paid the DNC for her own advantage and agenda.

This essay is not to discourage anybody for voting for either side, but about siding by principles. Whether Bernie is up for a 2020 bid, I say maybe? Maybe not.
